Position Summary:

As a Payroll Coordinator with ClearChoice, you are expected to support the payroll team with all aspects of the payroll function, and provide great service to the entire ClearChoice organization and its employees.
$40,000-$50,000 annually DOE
Areas of Responsibility:
- Process incoming mail and email
- Manage documents for employee changes, new hires, terminations and bonus approvals
- Organize, scan, purge tax files
- Manage garnishment processes and documents
- Set up new local and state tax accounts as needed
- Research tax issues and communicate with tax authorities
- Fulfill document requests for paystubs and W-2s for former employees
- Assist managers and employees with timekeeping issues
- Update support documents for changes in doctor, employee and contractor compensation plans/contracts
- Participate in the semi-monthly payroll processing function
- Print and mail live checks
- Process manual payroll checks/ACH as needed
- Participate in the semi-monthly payroll audit prior to submission of payroll for processing. Review terminations, new hires, promotions, transfers, deduction changes, etc
- Complete payroll account balance sheet reconciliations monthly. Research outstanding items and propose corrections
- Provide support during annual audit as requested
- All other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative, accounting or payroll position
- Strong Excel skills
- Intuition to identify issues, willingness to research items and ask questions, and confidence to propose solutions
- Strong individual initiative
- Familiarity with UKG or similar payroll system a plus
- Basic understanding of timekeeping systems and payroll processes
- Strong deadline orientation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to work in an office environment at both his/her own and others’ desks/offices
- Required daily to walk the floor and be available to help wherever needed
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
